As a Colonel in the Air Force, I was afforded the opportunity to not only practice outstanding clinical medicine but to also excel in multiple leadership and educational positions. These have ranged from being the Medical Director of an ER, the Deputy Chief of Staff of a Medical Group, a deployed Commander of Aeromedical staging units, and as an educator in Family Medicine. I enjoy the interpersonal aspect of engaging with and growing people and teams; I have a proven record in successful team management and find it to be a true passion in my life. My rule and for those I lead is, and has always been, to 1) Do the right thing by the patient every time, 2) Do the right thing by each other every time, and 3) Avoid doing anything that makes #1 or #2 difficult to do.
